In 1947, Georgios Dimitriadis, son of Dimitrios, founded the company, which manufactured awnings, tarpaulins, and covers in Thessaloniki, the capital of Northern Greece.

At that time, it was a small market that required development.

Within a period of no more than 10 years, awnings, tarpaulins, and covers became associated with the Dimitriadis name in Northern Greece and beyond.

Step by step, with rapid growth, Dimitriadis products became a trademark of quality and service, attracting an increasing number of customers in the Greek market.

Since 1947, its store was located in the city center, starting on Aphroditis Street, then at 30 Promitheos Street, and finally at 14 Monastiriou Street in Vardari – Democracy Square. This was the only non-owned property, and as of February 2026, the company no longer operates it due to its expansion into a total of four new factories.

At that time, Dimitrios Dimitriadis took control of the company and transformed the business he knew well from a small enterprise into one engaged both in the sale of raw materials in rolls or bolts—awning fabrics, plastics, PVC sheets, and their accessories—as well as in the manufacturing and processing of products such as awnings, covers, tarpaulins, etc.

Representing many Greek and international suppliers, he built a strong customer base, many of whom started their own businesses with his support.

Since 1978, its first factory has been located at the Stavroupoli overpass, 1 Kerasountos Street, with facilities of 2,100 m² on a total area of approximately 4,000 m², including warehouses and production areas equipped with the most modern machinery, and an annual turnover of approximately €2,500,000.

In 1998, Georgios Dimitriadis, son of Dimitrios—the grandson—acquired nearly the entire share package and became Chairman and CEO, holding 96% of the company’s shares. He is the father of six (6) children.

Building on more than 79 years of history, Georgios D. Dimitriadis led the company to become a leader in the aforementioned sectors, securing over 50% of the Greek market share and exporting to 22 countries, including Balkan and neighboring countries, Cyprus, the European Union (Austria, Romania, Germany, etc.), Eurasia (Armenia), countries of the former Soviet Union, Africa, etc.

The award ceremony took place during a celebratory dinner event on April 14, 2007, at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens.

Since January 2008, the company has held an active ISO 9001:2015 certification for the PRODUCTION – MANUFACTURING AND COMMERCIALIZATION of awning fabrics, awnings, accessories for awnings, PVC plastics, clear PVC sheets, canvas, tarpaulins, truck–vehicle–boat covers, and all related products and accessories, as well as for technical support and the complete and continuous satisfaction of its customers.

It is also a 100% Greek certified company with EPIELL 901, supporting the Greek economy.

Since 2008, its second factory has been located in Nea Santa Industrial Area of Kilkis and extends over 25,000 m², with approximately 2,000 m² of building facilities. It is organized according to international standards of modern logistics warehouses and serves exclusively wholesale trade and exports of raw materials, digital printing materials, rolls of plastics for tarpaulins, truck covers, PVC sheets, perforated mesh, canvas, awning fabrics, and accessories for awnings and tarpaulins.

Since 2021, its third factory has been located at the 5th km of the Thessaloniki – Lagkadas road and extends over an area of 5,700 m², with approximately 2,400 m² of building facilities, which will operate in the future as a production and storage facility.

Since 2025, its fourth factory has been located at Makedonikou Agona & Symmachiki in the Industrial Park of Oraiokastro, Thessaloniki, and extends over an area of 4,500 m², with approximately 1,200 m² of building facilities, serving exclusively wholesale trade and exports of raw materials.
